SANDATA CRAFTS ORIGINAL DESIGNS

As of now, we only have one original design, but we will be expanding the selection soon. Our first engraving design is the Dragon. This design is engraved on both sides of the tsuka. This design was inspired by traditional oriental dragon images. The dragon design is meant to be engraved on the tsukas of our Japanese sword line (Bokken, Shoto, Tanto). The elongated design and deep carving lines provides excellent grip for our sword's tsukas, as well as a great showpiece to add to your display collection. The dragon design can also be engraved on other weapons upon your request.

CUSTOM WEAPON ENGRAVING

Customize your weapon by having your dojo's symbol, or any symbol, engraved on your weapon's handles. Depending on the design and the weapon, we could also engrave it on other parts of your weapon. You could also have the Sandata Crafts original designs carved on your weapon. Engraving costs will depend on complexity and size of the design.

How to have your own symbol engraved:

1. Send us an image of your symbol through e-mail (sales@sandatacrafts.com). As much as possible please send a black and white image so it is easy to distinguish which lines to carve. If this isn't possible, just send us an image and we will try to copy it as best as we can.
2. Indicate which weapon you want it carved on, where you want it to be carved on the weapon, and approximately how large you want the engraving to be.
3. We will send this to our wood carver who will make a test carving on ordinary wood. Then we will take photographs of the engraving and send it back to you through e-mail.
4. If you approve of the carving's quality, we will produce your weapon/s and have them engraved with your symbol.
