Every product we sell is handcrafted by Master Limpin. He is a Master of various martial arts, his forte being the art of the Balisong (butterfly knife) and Lakan Arnis (a branch of Kali/Escrima). At a young age, he became involved in martial arts, and this led him to work as a stuntman in the Philippine movie industry for 10 years. Being one of the top martial artists of the Philippines at the time, he was the fight coordinator of many Filipino actors, as well as a few international actors who were involved in some films shot in the Philiippines. While working as a stuntman, he also had one of the most popular Balisong stores in Manila. His skills in the Balisong put him in magazines and led him to train with FMA's (Filipino Martial Arts) greatest practioners such as the late Edgar Sulite, Rodel Dagooc, Dr. Remy Presas, Godo Fajardo, and Limuel Bonsa (founder of Arnis Rapado). Several years ago, he decided to finally settle down in the province with his family and began to concentrate on his wood workings.

The art of wood carving has been in Master Limpin's family for generations, himself being a wood carver for almost 40 years. When his father passed on the trade to Master Limpin, the wood works they created were not martial arts weapons. However, when Master Limpin became very heavily involved in martial arts, he began to master the craft of making martial arts weapons. Many years ago, his uncle from Okinawa came to the Philippines and taught him how to make most of the Japanese weapons that we now sell on the website, such as the line of bokken, jo, nunchaku, kama, tonfa, bo, etc. His weapons have always received good reviews not just in the Philippines, but also around the world. Unknowingly, many masters of various martial arts actually have Master Limpin's works. Master Limpin has been selling these weapons through other vendors anonymously for many years.
